Software Developer - Remote working with visits to HQ in Horsham, United Kingdom

The Role: 

Detego Global is on the lookout for a Software Developer.

We want an experienced developer to become a key member of our team and help us continue to develop mission-critical software to a high standard. This is your chance to take a lead role in developing exciting new products that have real-world impact. The role has a strong opportunity for growth, too. Our hardworking and friendly development team is just the place if you are highly capable and keen to play an integral role in driving our company forward to our next phase.

 

Reports to:

  • Senior Software Developer

 

Place of Work:          

  • Hybrid working – remote/from home (up to 4 days a week) with at least 1 day a week in our office in Horsham, West Sussex.

Compensation:

Skills and Experience:

Technical Sales Engineer - Remote working, based in North America

The Role:

Detego Global is on the lookout for a Technical Sales Engineer.

We want a motivated individual to join our US Sales team in North America. Ideally, you will have a background of working with digital and mobile software, and have strong experience in software support, product demonstrations and exceptional customer relation skills.

You will be responsible for assisting customers with product information and support, as well as assisting the Sales team with product demos, so you will need to travel to events to represent Detego and showcase products.

Another part of your role will involve collaborating with Sales and Technical Support resources to ensure that proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs and are appropriately supported by key technical decision-makers.

Place of Work:

Remote working with traveling, roadshows, and client meetings.        

 

Compensation:

$80,000

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Proactively scoping technical solutions to address customer requirements, assessing customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommending solutions that optimise value for both the customer and the company.
  • Securing input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm; adapting solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
  • Coordinating closely with internal Sales, Sales Support, and Service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
  • Securing from customer technical staff, the commitments needed to ensure a deal’s “technical close.”
  • Assisting clients with product demos and support.
  • Traveling around the US several times per year.
  • Working with the Sales team on product events.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Extremely strong customer support experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 3 years or more working in a cyber or digital forensics role
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines
  • Experience working in a sales/customer-focused role
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand and communicate product capabilities and competitive differentiators
  • Self-starter and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Commitment to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • Ambition, and willingness to learn and develop professionally
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as facilitation and presentation techniques
  • Preferably educated to degree level in business, IS, or computer science

Junior Data Recovery Practitioner - Based at Detego HQ in Horsham, West Sussex

The Role:

Detego Global is on the lookout for a Junior Data Recovery Practitioner.

You will assist with lab-based work, including data recovery and forensic investigation of digital devices (including but not limited to mobile devices, computer devices and peripheral digital devices such as USBs, SSDs).

You will work on extremely rewarding projects and be a part of a friendly and supportive team.

 

Reports to:

  • Head Digital Analyst

 

Place of Work:          

  • Office-based role at Detego HQ in Horsham, West Sussex

 

Compensation:

  • £18,000–£24,000, dependent on experience, + performance-based bonus

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assisting with lab-based work, including data recovery and forensic investigation of digital devices.
  • Repairing and unrepairing digital devices.
  • Maintaining standard practice documentation.
  • Following documented procedures and completing reports on procedures followed.
  • Generally supporting the Professional Services team.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the digital arena – mobile phones and computers, including hardware and software
  • Ability to diagnose digital device issues and repair as necessary – e.g., screens, PCB swaps
  • Ability to work within a defined SOP/workflow-based system
  • Ability to make meticulous notes
  • Knowledge of digital forensics
  • Knowledge of forensic science principles
  • Knowledge of ISO standardised systems
  • A minimum of 1 years experience in working in the field of computer and/or mobile phone repairs, diagnosis of technical issues, and/or technical support. We may well consider similar experience if you can display strong technical competence and knowledge in mobile phones and computers.
