Manual Upgrade – to upgrade your UME 36 Pro to the latest version (Latest Version 1.1.9.3)


These instructions should only be followed if you do not have Network connectivity for your DTT.


  • You need to download the following, and put it onto a USB drive to update the unit:
    1193_Vertu.u36
  • Put the USB drive into the left side of the DTT, and select USB as the upgrade source.
  • Note: if you get "Error 1803" it is because your USB drive has files which conflict with the fix. You will need to clear out your USB drive.
  • Your unit will now be upgraded to the latest version of software.
  • Check this site periodically for new upgrades.


Upgrading the UME Operating System (Latest Version 1.0.2.1/1.0.2.7)

Upgrading the OS allows your UME to support additional OS features and should be upgraded when available. To upgrade your UME:


1) Download the latest Tiny UME upgrade here


2) Unzip this, and then copy this upgrade onto a USB drive


3) Insert the USB drive into the left-hand side of the UME


4) On the UME, go to


a. Services

b. Upgrades

c. Upgrade Image Now

d. USB Drive


5) Then select the upgrade


6) The UME will now upgrade itself – it is important that you do not interrupt the UME during this process


7) After the process is complete, the UME will reset itself


8) Download the latest Full UME upgrade here


9) Unzip this, and then copy this upgrade onto a USB drive


10) Insert the USB drive into the left-hand side of the UME


11) On the UME, go to


a. Services

b. Upgrades

c. Upgrade Image Now

d. USB Drive


12) Then select the upgrade


13) The UME will now upgrade itself – it is important that you do not interrupt the UME during this process


14) After the process is complete, the UME will reset itself
