Admiral Lord West
Admiral Lord Baron West of Spithead GCB, DSC, PC was, from June 2007 to May 2010, a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the British Home Office with the chief responsibility for security and was appointed security advisor to Prime Minister, Gordon Brown while also advising the Queen. He was also head of counter terrorism and first cyber security minister.
At the Home Office he produced the UK’s first ever National Security Strategy and Cyber Security Strategy. Also produced was a series of additional new strategies including the Counter-Terrorist Policy, the Cyber Security, Biological, Radio-logical and Nuclear Security strategies.
Prior to his ministerial appointment, he was First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff from 2002 to 2006. After taking up the post of Commander-in-chief Fleet, NATO Commander-in-Chief East Atlantic and NATO Commander Allied Naval Forces North, he was made an Admiral in November 2000.
Admiral Lord West also held a number of senior roles during his naval career, including Chief of Defence Intelligence, Commander-in-Chief Fleet, NATO Commander-in-Chief East Atlantic and NATO Commander Allied Naval Forces North. Admiral Lord West co-ordinated the naval response to the September 11 attacks in the North Arabian Sea and Afghanistan.
Oliver was the head of Cyber Security for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games, being responsible for the cyber-security assurance programme across the Games-wide domains, including the UK’s critical national infrastructure and Olympic supporting networks. He is best known for his wide-ranging review of UK government security policy, which led to the creation of the HMG Security Policy Framework; the cornerstone policy document for the UK Security within Government, Police and Armed Services.
Having spent most of his career as a senior executive with the UK Cabinet Office with responsibilities for security policy, cyber-security and information assurance, Oliver, has developed a deep and holistic appreciation of cyber-security, and the UK Government’s role in discharging its responsibilities. Amongst other achievements, Oliver played a lead role the Prime Minister’s 2008 Data Handling Review.
Oliver, through his own company Dysart Solutions, now manages approximately forty genuinely experienced cyber and national security consultants, with a global clientele. Dysart operates internationally, and focuses on major events, amongst other projects, and is currently assisting the Japanese and Koreans on their respective preparations for Summer and Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020 & Pyeong Chang 2018).
Oliver is currently consulting as a Special Adviser on Homeland and Cyber Security in a new prosperity venture on behalf of the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office and Home Office, to establish large government-to-government contracts.
Oliver also advises a number of FTSE 100 companies and major cyber security companies, including FireEye the world’s leading advanced cyber threat protection vendor. Oliver is also a Non-Executive Director.

Dave has spent over 30 years in technology before joining MCMS, designing, developing and implementing large scale IT systems, heading Ericsson Consulting for 5 years where he designed and delivered large-scale, industrial strength, IS and consumer solutions for Ericsson’s customers. Prior to this, he spend 20 years in financial services, again in design, development and implementation of large scale IT systems.

Andy has enjoyed a Military career spanning over 18 years, spending 9 years in the Royal Marines and 9 years within a Tier One Specialist Unit. He has vast experience of full spectrum, direct and sensitive operations. He was commended by SO15 command for his contributions to Counter Terror, policing and SSE development. During the last 4 years he has been organisational lead for DOMEX capability development and Tactical exploit: SSE, MEDEX including conventional overt/covert forensics, SC/DV/TS.
Focused on bringing MCMS next generation, ‘user friendly’, rapid solutions to counter the ever-increasing critical digital forensic/exploit capability gaps found in many establishments today, including IIOC and ICAC.
We are proud to have Andy on the team as he is extremely focused and driven throughout a projects’ lifespan. He has played a key part in the development of the company and he continues to prove his ability to deliver on large-scale projects to a high standard.
Our newest team member, Emma, before joining MCMS, played a major role in the logistics industry as the longest serving Manager of over a decade at her previous office – helping facilitate the growth of the company towards greater strengths. Now she is looking forward to a new challenge and working within the digital forensic industry.
